From muscle fatigue to a full tear
Sports cause injuries ranging from simple overload to tears, sprains and tendinopathies that put joints and entire seasons at risk. The challenge isn't just stopping the pain: it is healing well and fast so the injury doesn't come back.
Ozone therapy has become a regular tool for coaches and sports physicians because of its recovery speed and minimal invasiveness.
Injuries we treat
- Ankle and knee sprains
- Tendinitis (patellar, Achilles, tennis elbow)
- Muscle tears and strains
- Plantar fasciitis
- Shoulder and hip bursitis
- Overuse and overload pain
Ice, rest and anti-inflammatories work in the first 48 hours. After that, recovery is defined by the quality of healing. Ozone stimulates tissue repair and controls inflammation without weakening the tendon the way cortisone does.
Local ozone: reduce inflammation and heal
Oxygen-ozone is injected directly into the injured tendon, muscle or joint. Ozone neutralizes inflammatory radicals, improves local oxygenation and stimulates stable tissue formation in muscle tears and tendon injuries, with natural pain relief that lets rehabilitation start sooner. For extensive injuries we add autohemotherapy for a general anti-inflammatory effect.
How the treatment works
- Evaluation: injury exam and review of ultrasound or MRI if available.
- Injections: 1 to 2 per week, 20 minutes, at the injured site.
- Rehabilitation: progressive-load guidance and exercises coordinated with your physical therapist or coach.
- Return to play: clear criteria for going back to training to avoid relapse.
Who is a candidate?
Professional and recreational athletes with acute or chronic soft-tissue and joint injuries. Fractures and complete ligament ruptures need an orthopedic evaluation first; ozone speeds recovery afterwards.
Frequently asked
What patients ask before booking
How many sessions do I need?
3 to 8 depending on the injury. Mild tendinitis may resolve in 3; a tear needs more.
Can I keep training?
With reduced load, depending on the injury. We give you precise guidance at every session.
Is it doping?
No. Ozone is not on the WADA prohibited list.
Does it help prevent injuries?
Autohemotherapy improves oxygenation and recovery between workouts; many athletes use it in season.
